Two major colours, black and white and spots of red characterize the Eagle’s Nest’s light and open kitchen. The black Granit floor is lustrous as an ancient mirror. Also the horse-shoe-shaped worktop in the middle of the room sparkles in black Granit. Apart from its sober exterior, the kitchen gets necessary winter heating from under its floor.
Kitchens have a fair rumour of being hard to keep clean especially around the hotplates and around and inside of the sink. To make it impossible for minor food rests to get stuck and rot in parts where the sink is fitted into the worktop, this bespoken sink and worktop were cast in one single piece after measurements had been taken in place.
The Corian worktop is sensitive to knifes and sharp objects, but since the whole unit is a solid piece with the same colour all through, it can easily be sanded by a sander to regain its original fresh look. Or one can refrain from cutting with sharp objects on this surface.
The Induction Stove has four plates of equal size and nine different heat levels. It was put in the exact middle of the peninsula worktop to make it easy for two persons to be using the plates simultaneously. The same as with the sink top, this is a stove with unequal ease to keep clean, since its
surface seems to be impossible to devastate and it is tightly fit into the Granit.
To sum up and to underline, both the stove and the sink are excessively easy to keep clean.
The extractor hanging over the stove with an interactive light displays a typically Danish design of simplicity and vigour.
There seems to be no acceptable rational of putting the oven down by the floor, so this black oven is put in the same hight as the stove with the Microwave right above it to form an inviting black unity.
Newly installed and integrated Dishwasher and Fridge & Freezer fit into the white furniture.
The spectacular red Venezian chandelier above the Parisian breakfast table should be seen as a contra punctual comment to both the Danish extractor and the identical black Venezian version in the Alcove ceiling.
To work in this kitchen should be a pleasure for the eye and for each of all the other sensual organs.
